We'll pick up the segment on Blondo St. Jumping on to 90th we head to Maple. Then we reach the zenith of the trip on Fort St. Heading back East we'll tour some sights along the Missouri Bottoms near the airport and tour 16th St. The segment ends on 16th Street right before Downtown. © 2014 Mark W. Trip #1 - 13/08/2016: Cherry and I went to Matakana Village Markets, Tawharanui Regional Park, Omaha Beach, Orewa Beach, Kohimarama Beach, and Mission Bay. Matakana Village was about an hour's drive north from central Auckland. We had some really overpriced North Island and South Island whitebait fritters. North Island whitebait is smaller than the South Island counterpart, aand was slightly less expensive. It wasn't anything special - imagine tiny slivers of white fish in a fried egg on a slice of bread ... hmm. We also had a salmon gravlax toasted bagel too! From there, we drove 35 minutes east to Tawharanui Regional Park - a nice secluded coastal peninsula on the east coast of northern Auckland. A 40 minute drive northwest of Tawharanui landed us at Omaha Beach, a wonderful beach wit...
